When the world learned that the Die Hard actor Bruce Willis was diagnosed with aphasia, a condition which affects one’s ability to communicate, everyone is praying for his well-being. Unfortunately, the diagnosis meant the end of his rich and very much successful Hollywood career.
The devastating news was shared by Bruce’s family who took to Instagram to inform the fans of the heartbreaking decision.
They wrote, “To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities,” adding that he’ll be “stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.”
The statement further read: “This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support. We are moving through this as a strong family unit, and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him.
Bruce has been taken care of by his wife Emma Heming Willis who is always by his side, although she has admitted that she don’t have it easy, as well as Bruce’s ex-wife Demi Moore with whom he shares three daughters.
People close to the family say that Demi spends a lot of time with Bruce and when she’s unable to be by his side she is in touch with Emma, with whom she is very close.
They all hope to get as much time with the Pulp Fiction star as they can as his health is deteriorating, according to sources close to the family who also claim that “Bruce can’t say much, and it doesn’t appear like he understands much of what people say,” so Emma serves as his spokesperson and communicator.
“There are occasions when they catch glimmers of the old Bruce, but they are few and far between,” the sources claimed. “The girls can’t envision Christmas without Bruce,” they added.
As Christmas is approaching, things get even harder for the actor’s family. His older daughters miss their old dad who often teased them about their partners and was always there for them.
The family is praying for a Christmas miracle and so are we.
