The biggest television hit in years, the non-woke Yellowstone, has been snubbed by Hollywood at award time. It is not a surprise why a show that mocks the coastal elites gets ignored by them.
The smash hit never received a Primetime Emmy nomination in the major categories and had been completely shut out by the Golden Globes. But that is all changing in the show’s fifth season.
Yellowstone saw record ratings when the show returned this year and now Yellowstone has received its first ever Golden Globes nomination, for Kevin Costner in the category of lead actor in a dramatic series.
That said, Yellowstone was still shut out of the best drama series category. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association voters picked Netflix’s The Crown, Apple TV+’s Severance, AMC’s Better Call Saul, HBO’s House of the Dragon, and Netflix’s Ozark instead.
Costner won a Golden Globe in 2013 for his epic western series Hatfields and McCoys.
