The man shooting the video asks the boy if he is studying or going to school, and the boy answers that he would love to study, but he is unable to because his father wants him to work.

The man walks toward the car at the convenience store and pulls out a big bag of grocery items to give to the boy. The boy is ever grateful, but then what happens next is genuinely tear-jerking.

The man takes out money and asks the boy to count the bills. The boy begins to count, and we can see where the man is going with his gesture. The boy, still seemingly unaware, continues to count the money. The man interrupts him to say, “it’s your gift.” The boy immediately bursts into tears as the man tells him to use it to support his family.

The boy is overcome with emotion and thanks the man over and over. Once the boy can speak, he asks the man his name. The man tells him he will come to visit him again. The boy repeatedly thanks him and says, “God bless you.”

This boy will no doubt remember this kind stranger who became his friend just by listening and giving what he had. This is the kind of generosity that can truly change lives. Once we witness it, it’s hard to forget.
