Legendary actor Treat Williams, known for his iconic roles in films like “Hair,” tragically passed away nearly two months ago. The cause of his death has now been revealed by Vermont State Police, indicating that he suffered from “severe trauma and blood loss” following a motorcycle accident. The driver of the car involved in the collision has been cited for “grossly negligent operation with death.”

Treat Williams’ daughter, Ellie, expressed her profound grief on her Instagram Story, describing the pain as something she had never experienced before. She thanked those who offered their condolences and support during this devastating time.

His longtime agent, Barry McPherson, confirmed that Williams was killed in the motorcycle accident, which occurred when a car cut him off during a turn. McPherson praised Williams’ talent, describing him as an actor’s actor who had been a beloved figure in Hollywood since the late 1970s. He highlighted Williams’ pride in his recent work and his balanced career.

The crash took place in Dorset, Vermont, involving Treat’s motorcycle and a single car. Unfortunately, the driver of the car reportedly failed to notice the motorcycle, leading to the collision. Williams was airlifted to a hospital in New York but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
